Knobby Tire Tour to Idaho City

Register at www.idahowalkbike.org/knobby-tire-bike-tour

Join us on a supported mountain bike ride to historical Idaho City, spend the night in good company, eat good food, enjoy a cold beer, and ride home the next day.  Who hasn’t dreamed of that?

When: August 1 & 2, 2015

Where: Depart Boise in the morning on Saturday and ride to Idaho City via back roads and trails. Return on Sunday.

Why: Because it will be fun, and raise money for Idaho Walk Bike Alliance!

What we provide: We provide 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, snacks and rest stops along the way. We will transport your gear to Idaho City; provide a place to shower and a place to camp.

Prices:

Full Route/Short Route:

Before June 20: $80.00

June 21-July 6: $90.00

July 7-July 24: $100

One day tour:

-$65.00 (transponders included)

Registration Closes on July 24.

There are 3 options for riders:

Full Route: After a lovely ride up, up, up into the cool green forest, we will camp in Idaho City, in close proximity to everything! The ride up is 42 miles with an elevation gain of 6070 ft. The ride back is 46 miles with an elevation gain of 5969 ft.

Short Route:  If you aren’t quite up for that, there is a short route option: Day One is 20 miles with an elevation gain of 2160 ft. and 24 miles with an elevation gain of 2964 ft. on Day Two.

Animal Route: You can do the ride all in one day if you are an animal. And by animal, we mean the very best and strongest somewhat wild animal. You will be fed lunch on the way up, along with snacks, and rest stops. There is no guarantee that there will be volunteers present on your way back to Boise so you need to be prepared to take care of yourself. We will provide you with transponders as an extra safety precaution.
